Ann Marie is one of the only fee-based American wealth planners in Singapore. She employs an integrated, consultative approach to assist her clients in all areas of wealth planning including Investments, Tax, Insurance, Retirement, Estate Planning, Immigration or Expatriation from the United States.
Prior to moving to Singapore with her family in 2007, Ann Marie worked at Legg Mason Investment Counsel (LMIC), and its predecessors, providing highly tailored investment and trust strategies for affluent individuals, families and institutions. Before LMIC, Ann Marie worked at Goldman Sachs.
She holds a Bachelor Degree from Syracuse University, the Certified Financial Planner (US) designation and is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Association of Financial Advisers Singapore. Ann Marie is licensed to give financial advice by the MAS in Singapore and is an Investment Advisor Representative in America. She is also a licensed life insurance producer in America.
In her free time she enjoys being with her family and their rescued pets.

Michael is a co-founder of Avrio. Michael started his career in small and medium enterprise finance in Asia after graduating with an international business degree from Elon University. He spent eight years in China working with a range of industrial businesses worldwide on their strategic financial partnerships.
In 2010 Michael moved to Singapore where he focused on wealth planning for cross-border and multi-jurisdictional clients. Over the past 16 years Michael has assisted clients with holistic wealth planning, wealth management, retirement and legacy strategy. He works with both international and Singaporean clients for their planning needs.
Michael has been active in the Singapore community having served on the boards of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore and the American Association of Singapore. Additionally, he has assisted in small business consulting and strategy implementation and holds additional specializations in Estate Planning and Small and Family Business advisory.

Dan is a Wealth Planner specializing in US expats living in Singapore. He is a Certified Financial Planner (US) professional, Enrolled Agent (EA; tax speciality), and has a Master of Science in Financial Planning.
Having lived in China, Vietnam, Argentina, and, currently, Singapore, Dan is well-versed in the complexities and challenges that Americans abroad face. His love for solving complex puzzles, learning continuously, seeking adventure, and making the world a better place, drew him to cross-border financial planning. His passion is helping Global Citizens put their financial house in order and successfully navigate their financial lives.
Prior to joining Avrio, Dan worked at a tax-centric wealth management firm advising clients on retirement planning, investments, executive stock compensation, taxes, employee benefits, insurance, college funding, and estate planning. Utilizing the Enrolled Agent designation, he prepared client tax returns. Before that, he worked at Chen Planning Consultants, one of the pioneers of holistic financial planning, and Regent Wealth Management Group, a boutique Registered Investment Advisor, serving high-net-worth individuals and families.
Dan is fluent in Mandarin and Spanish. In his free time, he meditates, does yoga, and explores Singapore’s hawker centers.
Michael is Head of Investments at Avrio Wealth. He has been working in the Singapore investment industry for over 10 years, covering both global public and private markets. Michael is focused on helping clients achieve their life goals and is a firm believer that wealth planning is a part of the overall journey. He enjoys working closely with his team to understand and meet client objectives.
Michael has worked in various sectors, including biomedical research, manufacturing, trade, and finance. He holds two bachelor’s degrees, one in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and another in Microbiology. He also has a Master’s in Quantitative Finance from Peking University and is both a CFA® and CAIA® Charterholder.
As Business Manager for Avrio Wealth, Kimberley helps to maintain and build the operating business to ensure productivity and efficiency. Kimberley is motivated and organised, ensuring that reporting, procedures, and operations are in place for two regulators (MAS & SEC). She has built her career through experiences in Private Banking sectors, working in various market positions to assist Relationship Managers. Kimberley holds a Bachelor degree in Banking and Finance from Curtin University.
Sarah provides support to Avrio’s Wealth Planners and clients. She double majored in Finance and Accounting at Rutgers Business School in New Jersey and is a Certified Financial Planner® professional. Additionally, she is an Enrolled Agent (EA), allowing her to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Sarah has experience working in both wealth planning and tax. She started her career at Bridgewater Advisors Inc. in NYC where she worked with high-net-worth individuals and later worked for a small tax firm. Between the two, she explored other careers such as teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to small children and adults. Sarah has moved frequently in her adult life and previously lived and worked in Melbourne, Australia.
Sarah is always seeking new adventures and thrives in an ever-changing environment like cross-border planning. Her travel bug first began when she decided to be an exchange student for a semester at HKUST Business School in Hong Kong. From there, her love for travel and Asian culture multiplied exponentially. She solo-travelled more than 30 countries and has been to more than 40. Throughout her travels, she met many digital nomads who were not properly planning for their financial futures. She wanted to change this and is dedicated to helping clients pursue their passions, while ensuring they are properly preparing for tomorrow.
When Sarah has free time and isn’t hopping on a plane, you can find her trying new coffee shops and restaurants or just wandering around NYC.
Joel is a Wealth Planner and specialises in cross-border financial planning for expats living in Singapore. He is UK qualified and currently working towards UK Chartered Status. He also plans to pursue the US CFP® designation.
Raised in the UK, Joel earned a First Class Honours degree in International Business before spending seven years at independent chartered financial planning firms. He relocated from London to Singapore in 2025, which he now calls home.
During his time in London, Joel built up experience advising US-connected persons, and today he enjoys tackling complex cross-border challenges from long-term cashflow planning and tax efficiency to retirement income and succession planning. He has also advised British and Australian nationals living in Singapore, helping them optimise their financial plans and reach their long-term goals.
Off the clock, Joel is a dedicated football (soccer) fan and holds a season ticket for Manchester United, so don't be surprised if you spot him playing or watching a match around Singapore.
Ethan is an Investment Associate who supports the firm’s day-to-day investment operations, bringing analytical rigor and a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to the team.
Born in Malaysia, raised in Singapore, and later moving to the United States at age nine, Ethan developed a deep interest in mathematics and financial markets during high school. This interest led him to the University of Denver, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics. While in college, he was selected for a mentorship program at the National Bank of Middlebury, gaining valuable real-world experience in the financial industry.
Raised on an orchard in Vermont, Ethan spent his youth tapping maple trees, picking apples, and cultivating a deep appreciation for nature. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, playing sports, and exploring the backcountry—interests that eventually led him to work as a Class IV river guide in California.
Shaun is a Strategic Advisor at Avrio Wealth specializing in helping expatriates navigate the complexity of living across borders. Shaun began his career as a Certified Internal Auditor, and has since held a range of financial planning and management roles for both early-stage startups as well as multibillion-dollar companies. Over the past 25 years, Shaun has lived and worked in the United States, United Kingdom, the Middle East, India, Africa, and Asia giving him a broad perspective to the financial considerations faced by internationally mobile professionals and expatriate families.
As a father of three, Shaun has a strong interest in financial eduction and long term wealth building through thoughtful planning and disciplined investing. He enjoys helping make the investment process easier to understand and more approachable for families navigating complex financial decisions.
Outside of work, Shaun spends much of his time attending his children’s sporting events and enjoys playing golf, softball, fishing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
